To all the people reading this. The junk food, porn, drugs and alcohol have completely messed up your life. Hormones Control our lives. Your messed up desire to drink alcohol, watch porn and do drugs are caused by you. Not anyone else, but YOU.

I will tell you today what hormones are causing your problems and how to fix them.

  1. Dopamine

Intro:

The reward hormone. Did you just have an amazing workout? Yes? That’s dopamine making it feel great. Dopamine fuels drive, motivation and the desire to want more. In my opinion, without dopamine, our human species would not be able to get anywhere. All the scientists and adventurers were fueled by dopamine to shape the world we have today.

Find your passion:

You feel better doing the things you love. Find a productive passion that levels up any aspect of your life. For example painting, reading, or sports. For me, it’s to mountain bike. I love the adrenaline. Anything works as long it levels up your life and doesn’t destroy it.

Dangers of cheap and quick dopamine:

Although it is what drives us to do great things, dopamine can also destroy our lives. Cheap and quick sources such as porn, makes you feel good at the moment but don’t offer any improvement in your life. This is also where addiction starts. Every time you do things such as vaping, you get a hit of dopamine. As time goes on, the amount of dopamine you get each time decreases. This forces you to vape more to get the amount of dopamine you desire. As you know, this is extremely bad for your health.

Want a dopamine boost? :

Believe it or not, the food you eat can boost your dopamine. Foods such as avocados and nuts have healthy fats in them. Fats are essential in improving all your hormones including testosterone.

Exercising increases endorphins and makes you feel good. Exercise yourself physically and mentally by doing exercises and completing puzzles

  1. Serotonin

Intro:

Whats serotonin? Let me ask you a question first. Are you in a positive mood?

If yes, that’s what serotonin does to you. It is a good/positive mood hormone. An interesting fact: the release of serotonin increases your productivity too. If you drive up to your office happy and positive, you will notice your productivity go up. Try it. You might get a raise…

Increase your serotonin:

You can actually control when you release serotonin. How?…

By controlling your mood. If you are sad, force yourself to be happy. Eventually, you will actually feel positive instead of glum and sad. This might be hard at first as you need to be stoic and have decent control of your emotions. Once you master this, you can choose when to increase your productivity and power. Pretty cool right?

Meditate and practice mindfulness. Learn to control yourself and your emotions. Meditation makes the method above a lot easier. Meditating just 5 minutes a day does wonders for your health.

  1. Oxytocin

Intro:

The bonding or love hormone. You feel good hugging your loved ones. Thats Oxytocin. It is released anytime we experience love, receive or give out an act of kindness. The more oxytocin released when connecting with a person, the more trust you have. Every time you hug your family members or kiss your girlfriend, your bond and connection with them increases.

How to Boost Oxytocin:

The best way to boost this hormone is to spend time with loved ones. Play outside with your little sister, do a light spar with your father, cook with your mother, etc. All these things increase your oxytocin and love. Also, doing charity work can increase this hormone. Anything that shows love for others and yourself will work.

  1. Cortisol

Intro:

Cortisol is a hormone released when stressed. Too much of it can hinder your productivity and most importantly your mental health. Stress takes years off your life. Also, an increase in cortisol will lower your testosterone. Yikes! This doesn’t mean to try and get rid of your cortisol. Cortisol is extremely important in maintaining your sleep-wake schedule. By looking at natural sources of light in the morning, cortisol increases. This creates a cycle for your body on when to sleep and when to wake up. Kind of like a human alarm clock. I like to call this “essential” cortisol.

How to decrease “bad” cortisol:

Meditation is number one. It is by far the best stress-relieving way I have tried. Also, try activities you enjoy. For example drawing or playing outside. Anything that you enjoy can be a good medicine for cortisol. Journaling also works. Write your feelings down in a book. Take out all your anger in your writing.
